Ryan Seacrest Taking Over For Larry King

Ryan Seacrest is reportedly in serious negotiations to take over Larry King Live. Although King's agent recently said that the 74-year-old had signed a contract extension with CNN through 2011, MSNBC.com says that Seacrest could be in the anchor's chair as soon as the year's end. Last April, King told the New York Times that Seacrest, who occasionally fills in for him, would be his first choice as a permanent replacement. As for MSNBC's report, a rep for Seacrest said, "Larry and Ryan are close and Ryan does fill in as a guest host from time to time, but we have no comment on this story." A source close to CNN said, "there is no truth to this story."
